We – as in Berst – would like to connect with more freelance wordsmiths.
Specifically, we’re looking for collaborators who specialise in strategic brand language for early-stage innovation.
Someone once described this to me as ‘giving a voice to innovation before it has figured out a way to speak for itself’.
In our experience, these people tend to enjoy:
– Making sense of the early, amorphous stages of a new business or product
– Finding deliciously accurate language to articulate the problem–opportunity space
– Moulding the value proposition for something that hasn’t been seen before
– Finding language and tone that cuts through the slop and resonates emotionally
– Working directly with startup founders and big serious grown-ups in larger orgs
This is typically project-based freelance work in collaboration with our strategy+design team.
