Job Overview
We are seeking a talented, versatile, joy filled Freelance Writer to share stories of hope and positive news in our faith based magazine as well as share information in our visitor magazine. The ideal candidate has the ability to create compelling content including short articles, testimonies of how God has worked in people’s lives, good news and encouragement, all offering hope. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling. As a Freelance Writer, you will have the flexibility to work remotely by assignment for upcoming content needs.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging, and original content tailored to specific audiences.
• Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility in all written materials.
• Edit and proofread your own work.
• Collaborate with team members to develop content.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to meet assignment deadlines.
• Adapt writing style to suit different genres, including creative writing, story telling, journalism, and copywriting.

Experience

• Proven experience in writing across various formats with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Familiarity with copywriting techniques.
• Strong understanding of journalism principles and creative writing practices.
• Excellent proofreading skills with an eye for detail in grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for writing, editing, and collaboration.
