We write concise, friendly, and highly-informative “guidebook style” blog posts. Our goal is to build the most helpful online travel resource on the internet, with candid advice from knowledgeable locals and expert travelers. Writers write under their own byline.
You might be a good fit for us if you are your friends’ go-to for recommendations for things to do in your local area, you know each area of your city well, and you have a smartphone photo library filled with snapshots from your adventures around your city.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Local Expertise – We prefer our guides to be written by an area local, or at least someone who has spent a lot of time in the destination and knows it very well. Only apply if you fit that description for one of the above destinations (don’t try to fake it please, we will catch you).
Human-Only Writing – We have a strict no-AI content policy. No AI tools may be used in any part of the content creation process. This policy is strictly and ruthlessly enforced. Don’t apply if you aren’t ok with that.
Quality Original Photos – This isn’t just a writing gig! Photos are an important part of our content and also our compensation model. You will be required to submit samples of your original photos as part of the application.
COMPENSATION
Varies based on type of article, length, and number of original photos you submit. Average total per article ranges from $250-500 USD.
