Full job description
Watershed is looking for a part-time (~20 hours/week) technical writer to create technical product documentation for our core platform and execute a maintenance project across Watershed’s customer-facing knowledge base.
You will:
– Create a new set of technical product documentation articles that covers our core platform in collaboration with the Engineering team in an accessible and user-friendly way.
– Implement a comprehensive maintenance project of Watershed’s 200+ article knowledge base, specifically:
– Updating product user guides for accuracy and quality, collaborating with Product and Design teams.
– Contributing to content strategy and standards with Customer Education and Content Design.
– Adding FAQs or supporting evidence in partnership with the Support team.
– Write, edit, and publish directly in our content management system.
– Weekly check-ins with our Content Design team.
You might be a fit if you have:
– 3+ years of experience with technical documentation writing for software products.
– Strong writing, copyediting, and reviewing skills.
– Experience with content strategy and information architecture for large libraries of content.
– Comfortable editing and publishing directly in a content management system.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 – $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
