Somer Design is a UK-based brand and digital marketing agency supporting business owners and consultants across various industries, with a dedicated brand focused on the care sector. Our mission is to help clients establish brand authority and become the ‘go-to’ experts in their communities. We achieve this through strategic digital marketing, with SEO at the core, supported by content strategy, email marketing, and social media management.
We are looking for an SEO Specialist to manage our two company websites and our clients’ SEO campaigns. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies that drive traffic, improve rankings, and increase conversions through organic search.

Key Responsibilities1. SEO Strategy & Implementation
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and develop SEO-driven content strategies.
- Implement on-page SEO techniques (meta tags, internal linking, structured data).
- Develop off-page SEO strategies, including link-building and outreach.
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues (indexing, crawl errors, site speed).
- Conduct regular SEO audits and implement recommendations.
2. Local SEO & Google Business Profile Optimisation
- Optimise Google Business Profiles for better local search visibility.
- Manage local citations and directory listings.
- Implement local SEO strategies to improve rankings in specific service areas.
3. Website Performance & UX for SEO
- Ensure SEO best practices are followed in website design and development.
- Work with developers to improve site speed, mobile usability, and core web vitals.
- Advise on user-friendly site architecture and navigation.
4. Competitor Research & SEO Monitoring
- Analyse competitor SEO strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and engagement using analytics tools.
- Regularly track and report on SEO performance, providing insights and recommendations.
5. Content Optimisation & Collaboration
- Provide SEO-focused content briefs to writers and content creators.
- Optimise blog posts, landing pages, and website copy for organic search.
- Work with marketing teams to align content with SEO goals.
6. (Bonus) PPC & Facebook Ads Management
(Not required, but a strong advantage!)
- Set up and manage Google Ads campaigns.
- Create and optimise Facebook Ads for lead generation.
- Monitor ad performance, adjust budgets, and improve conversion rates.
Preferred expert knowledge of:

✔ SEMRush, Moz, or Ahrefs
✔ WordPress (Yoast SEO, RankMath)
✔ Google Business Profile & BrightLocal
✔ Technical SEO (Core Web Vitals, Schema Markup)
✔ Website audits & competitor analysis
