We are looking for an experienced 🇫🇷 SEO content strategist – France 🇫🇷 (freelance) to join our growing international SEO content and translation team.
❌ Note: This is NOT a translator or writer role ❌
As an SEO content strategist (France), you’ll be responsible for shaping and executing our clients’ content strategy for the French market. That means analyzing search trends and performance data, identifying content opportunities and creating strategic SEO briefs to guide translators and writers.
You’ll work closely with a team of international SEO content strategists covering different markets, contributing to a cohesive global strategy and reporting directly to our SEO manager.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in SEO and content planning. A strong understanding of the French market is essential, along with a genuine passion for outdoor sports like cycling, skiing, trail running, surfing and climbing (major bonus points if you’re into a few of these!) and a deep understanding of the culture surrounding them.
Key responsibilities:
→ Analyze and report on local SEO performance and search trends in the French market
→ Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify content gaps and opportunities
→ Create detailed SEO briefs to guide translators and writers
→ Review published articles to ensure they match the brief and include all key elements provided
→ Collaborate with a team of international SEO content strategists to align strategy across markets
→ Report directly to the SEO manager and contribute to the overall global content strategy
What we’re looking for:
→ Proven experience in SEO strategy and content planning, particularly in the French market
→ Experience in large-scale SEO projects, especially for e-commerce platforms, is preferable
→ Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
→ Deep cultural understanding of France and the local outdoor sports industry
→ Strong attention to detail, proactiveness, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team working toward shared goals
→ Familiarity with AI-driven tools and techniques for SEO is a plus
