We’re searching for a brilliant Medical Writer who can translate complex healthcare jargon into content that actually resonates with humans! As our Medical Writer, you’ll be the bridge between scientific knowledge and engaging storytelling, creating content that educates, informs, and drives action. What Will You Actually Do?
Content Development:
- Research and craft compelling medical content that’s scientifically accurate AND enjoyable to read
- Apply SEO magic to ensure your brilliant content actually gets found online
- Leverage AI writing tools while maintaining that human touch that no algorithm can replicate
- Implement rigorous fact-checking protocols (because in healthcare, accuracy isn’t just nice—it’s essential)
- Transform complex medical information into content that resonates with target audiences
Content Strategy:
- Partner with marketing teams to develop content approaches that align with business goals
- Stay ahead of healthcare trends and scientific developments to keep our content cutting-edge
- Analyze competitor content to find gaps we can fill with superior information
Collaboration & Production:
- Work with design teams to create visuals that enhance (not just decorate) your content
- Provide creative direction on visual presentation to maximize engagement
- Consult with subject matter experts to ensure medical accuracy while maintaining readability
- Maintain our brand voice even when using AI-assisted writing tools
Analytics & Optimization:
- Use data to determine what content is performing well and why
- Breathe new life into existing content based on performance insights
- Identify opportunities to repurpose successful content across different channels
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must-Haves:
- 4-5 years crafting medical content that people actually want to read
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical Communications, or similar field
- Writing skills that can make even the most complex medical topics accessible and engaging
- Strong SEO knowledge that helps content rank without sacrificing quality
- Experience with AI writing platforms and the judgment to know when to use them (and when not to)
- Proficiency with fact-checking tools and plagiarism detection (because integrity matters)
- An eye for design that understands how visuals and text work together
- CMS experience and familiarity with keyword research tools like SEMrush or Moz
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and terminology (you know your HIPAAs from your HITECHs)
- Research abilities that can quickly separate credible medical information from questionable claims
- Self-motivation to manage multiple projects without missing deadlines
