Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced ownership-driven electronics &gadgets content specialist to anchor content strategy and creation for our technology vertical. This role combines deep technical knowledge with AI-powered content tools to create authoritative content that guides purchasing decisions and drives commerce conversion. The candidate will leverage AI tools to scale reviews, comparisons, and buying guides that resonate with both enthusiasts and casual shoppers.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive content strategies for electronics and gadgets vertical, covering smartphones, laptops, smart home devices, gaming equipment, and emerging tech categories
Create in-depth product reviews, comparison guides, buying guides, and technical tutorials that establish authority and trust
Manage editorial calendar for product launches, seasonal buying guides, and trending technology topics
Collaborate with product and brand teams to align messaging with launches and seasonal campaigns
Research and analyze emerging technologies, industry trends, and consumer electronics market developments
Mentor junior writers and freelance contributors in technical writing and product evaluation best practices
AI-Enhanced Content Production
Use AI tools for technical research, spec analysis, and generating accurate product summaries, spec tables, and personalized content.
Stay current with AI applications in tech content and product evaluation methodologies
Requirements
6-9 years of experience in tech journalism, product content, and digital editorial
Deep understanding of consumer electronics and emerging tech trends
Proficiency with AI writing tools, structured data generation, and prompt-based workflows
Ability to simplify complex specs into user-friendly narratives
Experience with CMS, analytics, editorial workflow management and collaborative tools like Slack, Google Docs, etc
