Full job description
We’re looking for an experienced cybersecurity writer for the Moonlock Blog. Our readers care about protecting their devices from malware, avoiding data theft, safeguarding their privacy — and you’ll be the one educating them on these topics.
You can expect to write 5-10 articles per month, each between 1,000 and 2,000 words. You’ll also prepare screenshots to illustrate your writing. This is a freelance opportunity on a pay-per-article basis, so you can be located anywhere. However, preference will be given to native speakers of English.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience writing about cybersecurity and privacy
- In-depth knowledge of the topic
- Access to a Mac and an iPhone (you’ll need it)
- Native English proficiency
- Strong research skills
- Ability to write clear, straightforward guides and tutorials
- Understanding of on-page SEO
- Experience writing for a brand and adapting your voice to brand guidelines
- Ability to meet deadlines and incorporate feedback
- A working Google Account and familiarity with Google Docs
- Familiarity with WordPress
