The Role:

We are seeking an experienced YouTube Scriptwriter to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our YT presence. You will be responsible for crafting compelling, insightful, and engaging scripts for our weekly YouTube videos. These videos primarily feature our CEO in a “talking head” format, delivering actionable advice and thought leadership directly to our target audience of founders. The goal of the channel is to establish the CEO in a thought leadership capacity, to grow his 1-on-1 and group Founder coaching services.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help translate powerful coaching concepts into accessible video content that resonates deeply with entrepreneurs seeking growth.

You’ll work closely with our CEO/content team to create scripts that not only educate but also inspire action.

While initially a part-time role focused on one script per week, there is significant potential for this position to evolve into a full-time role as our content strategy expands.

YouTube is THE channel through which we’ll grow our business, and want you to be a huge part of that growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and content team to brainstorm and refine video topics aligned with our coaching philosophy and audience needs.
  • Conduct research on relevant topics, founder challenges, and business scaling strategies to ensure depth and accuracy.
  • Write clear, concise, engaging, and well-structured scripts (approx. 10-20 mins final video length) for weekly YouTube videos.
  • Craft compelling hooks to capture viewer attention immediately and maintain engagement throughout the video.
  • Translate complex business and coaching concepts into simple, understandable, and actionable advice for founders.
  • Develop logical flows for each script, ensuring a strong narrative arc and clear takeaways.
  • Integrate subtle storytelling elements where appropriate to connect with the audience on a deeper level.
  • Ensure all scripts align perfectly with our brand voice: professional, insightful, empathetic, and results-oriented.
  • Incorporate effective calls-to-action (CTAs) relevant to the video topic and our business goals.
  • Revise and refine scripts based on feedback from the CEO/content team.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of content styles similar to established business thought leaders like Dan Martell (focused on SaaS, scaling) or Rob Walling (focused on bootstrapped/independent founders), adapting similar principles of value delivery and founder empathy to our unique voice.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced Scriptwriter: You have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience specifically writing scripts for YouTube or similar video platforms.
  • Niche Expertise: You have demonstrable experience writing content within the coaching, consulting, business strategy, entrepreneurship, or thought leadership space. You get the world of founders.
  • Proven Portfolio: You possess a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality video scripts (preferably talking-head style) that demonstrate clarity, engagement, and results.
  • Audience Understanding: You have a deep understanding of the unique challenges, aspirations, and language of founders and CEOs looking to scale their businesses and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional Writer: You have outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with meticulous attention to detail and grammar.
  • Translator: You excel at taking complex ideas or expert knowledge and simplifying them into accessible, actionable content without losing substance.
  • YouTube Native: You understand the nuances of writing for the YouTube platform – pacing, hooks, retention techniques, CTAs, and basic principles of discoverability.
  • Collaborative & Independent: You are comfortable collaborating closely with stakeholders for briefs and feedback but can work independently and manage your time effectively to meet weekly deadlines.
  • Professional & Reliable: You are organized, communicative, and committed to delivering high-quality work consistently.
  • Alignment: You resonate with the goal of helping founders become better leaders, build successful businesses, and improve their well-being.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working directly with Founders, coaches, or consultants.
  • Familiarity with content frameworks used by B2B thought leaders.
  • Basic understanding of the video production process.
