Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in securing funding for our clients and their programmatic or capital initiatives by crafting compelling grant proposals. This position requires a strong understanding of program development, strategic planning, and fundraising efforts. The Grant Writer will work closely with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure that proposals align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Research potential funding sources and grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission.
• Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate the need for funding.
• Collaborate with clients to develop project descriptions, budgets, and timelines for grant applications.
• Edit and review grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to funder guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of submitted proposals and track deadlines using databases.
• Prepare financial reports as required by funders to demonstrate the effective use of funds.
• Assist in strategic planning efforts related to fundraising initiatives and program development.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of proven experience in grant proposal writing with a successful track record of securing funding.
• Strong research skills to identify potential grants and funding opportunities.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with financial report writing and budget preparation for grant applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of databases for tracking grant submissions and deadlines is preferred.
• Experience in strategic planning and program development is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $75.00 – $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
