Paid writing gig alert: I’m hiring two freelancers to support Video Games Industry Memo this summer and I’d love for you to apply.
Each writer will be responsible for:
– Writing five editions of Video Games Industry Memo between June and August this year.
– Ensuring each edition fits house style and our areas of coverage focus.
– Uploading content into the VGIM backend and formatting in line with the usual template.
While the opportunity is open to all writers, I’m prioritising people who have a proven track record of producing tight copy to a deadline, knowledge of games and – even more importantly – an appreciation of where they fit into the policy, commercial and cultural landscape.
Each freelancer will be paid £1500 for chipping in, a rate of £300 per newsletter. There may be further opportunities in the future too.

The two selected writers will be informed whether they’ve got the gig by the end of April, before being inducted and introduced to the VGIM audience ahead of June.
